Wraps/Covers

Wraps or covers are waterproof covers that go over the top of the nappy to prevent babies clothes from getting wet. Most of the covers are breathable, this helps keep the baby cool and allows some air to circulate. They are soft and flexible and all are machine washable and they dry quickly. They come in different styles, some have poppers or velcro to fasten, others can be the pull on pant type.

There are different types of wraps, these are outlined below:

Pull on Pants

Least expensive option

No adjustment required, they just pull on like normal pants

Harder for babies to remove

You can't really use them with prefolds since you can't lie the wrap flat

Popper Wraps

The covers are adjustable

They are difficult for babies to undo

Can be laid flat when changing, this is good for prefold nappies

Popper wraps can be done up first, then pulled on like pants, good for potty training.

Velcro Type Wraps

The covers are more adjustable than the popper wraps

Can be laid flat when changing, this is good for prefold nappies

Velcro can give a smoother fit compared with poppers
