Different Types of Cloth Nappies

You can choose from several different types of nappy. Whether you want one nappy type to grow with your baby until he/she is potty trained, or you want to have an all in one nappy which is very similar to a disposable. Or maybe you want a 2 part nappy system where the nappies are worn with a waterproof cover over the top. For very small babies muslin squares can be used, or maybe you would like nappies that use a disposable pad. There are pros and cons of each type and I can help advise you on what is most suitable for your requirements. This webpage shows you how each type works.

Quick Glance of Pros and Cons

All in One nappies are shaped and come complete with a built in waterproof cover. These are as simple to use as disposables. These are slower to dry and are generally the most expensive type of nappy.

Shaped nappies dry quicker than all in ones, but slower than terries. These use a separate waterproof wrap over the top of the nappy. They normally come in sized or onesize versions.

One size types of nappy mean that only one set of nappies needs to be purchased as they are adjusted with poppers for your babies size, they can be more expensive initially.

Terries or prefoldsTerries or prefolds - Ideal for smaller babies, very quick to dry and can be used in combination with many different types of nappies.

Weenee Nappies are not a 100% cloth nappy, these use disposable pads, with a cloth nappy cover. These will require less washing.
